So here is a smart idea that Cyprus is using to try to boost their tourism. Cyprus only had 939 cases and 17 deaths so they want to keep their numbers low – but they also want you to visit. Visitors will have to show a certification that they were tested for Covid-19 and get a thermal temperature check upon arrival. They will also be required to fill out a form detailing their travel plans while staying in Cyprus and confirm they have no symptoms and were not in contact with infected people. There will also be random temperature checks throughout your visit.

If you can pass all of the above rules and regulations then Cyprus will cover all your costs should you test positive during your visit.

As per the Associated Press reported –

Lodging, food, drink, and medicine for both visitors that contract coronavirus and their families will be covered by the Cypriot government. Patients will only have to pay for their taxi ride to the airport and flight back home. A foreigners-only hotel will be able to accommodate up to 100 COVID-19 patients and a “quarantine hotel” with 500 rooms will house patients’ family members or travel companions. The country also has 112 intensive care units with 200 respirators for critically-ill patients.
